Description
Overview
The Drive DeVilbiss eTSE Toilet Stand-up Aid is a compact, electrically powered toilet lifting aid designed to help adults with reduced mobility sit down and stand up from the toilet with greater independence and control. Combining a vertical lift with a gentle forward tilting movement, the eTSE supports a more natural sit-to-stand motion while taking up little more space than a conventional raised toilet seat.
Previously known through the Drive DeVilbiss range as the Solo Toilet Lift, the eTSE represents the newer generation of powered toilet stand-up assistance. At just 4.25kg for the eTSE unit, it is a considerably more compact and discreet alternative to bulky toilet frames and traditional toilet lifting systems. Operation is controlled via the rechargeable handset — no permanent mains socket is required.
The eTSE may be particularly useful for adults who have difficulty with sit-to-stand movements due to conditions such as arthritis, reduced joint mobility, lower-limb weakness, or recovery from hip or knee surgery. It is designed for use in private homes, care homes, hospitals, and rehabilitation settings. Suitability should be assessed according to the individual user's mobility, balance, and clinical requirements.
Important: The eTSE must be used with a compatible Drive TSE raised toilet seat (TSE 120, TSE 120 Plus, TSE 150 or TSE 150 Plus). Maximum user weight depends on configuration: up to 150kg with the TSE 150 and up to 120kg with the TSE 120. Check compatibility before ordering.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does the Drive eTSE Toilet Stand-up Aid help the user?
The eTSE electrically raises the toilet seat while simultaneously tilting it forwards by up to 20°. This controlled movement is designed to help adults who have difficulty lowering themselves onto the toilet or returning to a standing position, supporting greater independence where the product is suitable for the individual.
Does the eTSE need to be plugged into a socket while being used?
No. The eTSE is battery-powered during operation, so there is no permanent mains cable beside the toilet. The battery is incorporated into the handset and is charged using the supplied power supply outside the bathroom, in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
Who is the eTSE suitable for?
The eTSE is designed for adults who experience difficulty with sit-to-stand movements. It may be particularly suitable for people living with arthritis, Parkinson's disease, reduced lower-limb strength, or those recovering from hip or knee replacement surgery. Clinical assessment of individual suitability is recommended.
Does the eTSE require a raised toilet seat?
Yes. The eTSE must be used with a compatible Drive TSE raised toilet seat — the TSE 120, TSE 120 Plus, TSE 150, or TSE 150 Plus. The raised toilet seat is not included with the eTSE and must be ordered separately or confirmed as part of a compatible configuration.
