Japan is a highly developed country with excellent public health standards, outstanding sanitation, and some of the safest food and water in Asia. Most UK tourists visiting Japan's cities need only ensure their routine vaccinations are current. There are no vaccination requirements for UK tourists.
Always verify requirements before you travel. Recommendations change. Use fitfortravel.nhs.uk and travelhealthpro.org.uk for current advice, and book a travel health consultation at least 6 to 8 weeks before departure.
